Ransom's Home Inspection Services is owned and operated by Ray L Ransom Jr. Our inspection service company was originally created as a sister company of Ransom's Contracting in March of 2007. Ray Ransom eventually started focusing strictly on the inspection service company in the fall of 2008 due to the high demand for inspections.
Ray L Ransom Jr. is the owner and inspector of Ransom's Home Inspection Services. Ray worked for many years as a general contractor with his father performing all types of building and remodeling. In the fall of 2001 Ray started Ransom's Contracting due to his fathers retirement.
In the winter of 2006 Ray saw the potential for a home inspection service company in this area. After doing some research he attended The American Home Inspection Training Institute, "AHIT" at Penn State-Lehigh. While attending AHIT Ray learned how the inspection process works, learned what to look for while doing inspections, and learned how to successfully run a home inspection business. In March of 2007 Ray received his certificate of completion from AHIT.
Ray is also a member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, "NACHI".
Ray had to perform several inspections for free as well as pass multiple exams in order to become a member of NACHI. Upon membership, Ray has agreed and must complete several hours of continuing education every year.
In the spring of 2008 Ray attended Environmental Solutions Association, "ESA" to complete a Radon Gas measurement and inspection course. After attending this class and passing the state exam he was able to start testing for Radon Gas for the Department of Environmental Protection, "DEP".
Ray has also attended many other training classes to learn how to perform mold testing, water testing, and septic testing. At Ransom's Home Inspection Services we feel it is crucial to stay up to date with the latest techniques to help keep us on top of our changing market.
